School’s out for summer! And we all know what that can mean… spending weeks on end trying to keep little ones entertained at home! We’ve put together a guide to some fun and inexpensive local family activities to keep your little ones busy during the summer break…
Saturday 17 December – Robotics 102: Four Week Intermediate Course, Stretton Centre Library
Time: 10.30am – 12pm
Fun for teens, adults and children over the age of 10, this course is for those who have completed Robotics 101. Tickets are $10pp and you can book your spot here.
Tuesday 20 December – Christmas Makerspace, Stretton Centre Library
Time: 10.30am – 11.30pm
Join the team at the Stretton Centre Library for some fun and free Christmas craft creativity! Book your spot here.
Wednesday 11 January – Palaeontology Rocks, Burton Community Hub
Time: 10am – 11am
Come long and be a dinosaur detective at the Burton Community Hub these holidays! Do your own dinosaur egg excavation and make your own fossils to keep! Suitable for children aged 5-12 years. Tickets are $5 – book your spot here.
Friday 13 January – Movie Morning, Stretton Centre Library
Time: 10.30am – 1.30pm
It’s movie time! Celebrate the summer holidays with popcorn and a movie – don’t forget to bring your pillow and a blanket for some free holiday fun. Book your spot here.
Tuesday 17 January – Minecraft Madness, Burton Community Hub
Time: 10am – 11pm
Come along to pin the tail on the pig, make your own Enderman to keep, crack the decoders, take a Minecraft selfie and find your way through the mazes! Suitable for children aged 5-12 years, this event costs $5 and you can book your spot here.
